Honda Roadshow

Happy Motoring hosted a three-day roadshow at the Gadong Mall, starting Friday, that offered promotional prices on Honda vehicles during the roadshow.
The car models on display during the event were the Honda Odyssey, Honda Civic Type R, Honda Stream, Honda CR-V and Honda Accord.
The roadshow that ended on Sunday,23rd March 2008 aimed to make the public more familiar with Honda vehicles.

The World Water Day Exhibition currently held at The Mall in Gadong has attracted many visitors, shoppers and passers-by.
It features, among others, colourful drawings, paintings and posters, as well as some fun games, enjoyed by all, especially young people.
This year's theme is 'Sanitation' and the UN aims to increase awareness of the topic and the improvements that sanitation has brought to millions of people.
Yesterday, people also took the opportunity to have their caricatures drawn by some of Brunei's talented artists for a minimum fee.
Youths were especially drawn to the caricatures. Some wanted their caricatures to look like ministers, while other requests included musicians and a mermaid.
A caricature in this context is a kind of portrait that exaggerates or distorts the essence of a person but still has an easily identifiable visual likeness.
The artists yesterday simply invited their subjects to sit down in front of them on whom to base their drawings.
For restless children, the artists would take a picture of them and draw the caricature from it.

In conjunction of the Anniversary Draw of Milimewah Group, the 6th spin and win monthly draw was held on 23rd March 2008 at Utama Grand Branch. 20 qualifiers that were drawn last week by the customers of Utama Grand, The mall were called to spin the wheel of prizes to determined the prizes to be won. The 1st prize winner was Cecilia Ting Ching Wee who won a 32" LCD Television while the second and third prize was won by Lee Ah Wah and Pg Saadiah Bte Pg Mohd Daud winning a 26" LCD TV and 20" LCD TV respectively.

The 4th to 20th winners were Nur Zawiah Bte Taufik, Pg Hjh Rokiah Pg Ismail, Hj Hamdan H. A. Hamid, Sakdun Bin Makmun, Dk Siti Nurhafizah Pg Sufriddin, Dk Murah Bte Pg Tejuddin, Tan Boon Kher, Chan Mee Eng, Ida Lestari, Nor Izman, Hj Amat Hj Yahya, Dk Siti Aisyah Nur Alwani, Edwin B. Santos, Dk Hjh Nur LAila Fadilah, Lim Thian Huat, Ernie Ibrahim and Eugene Newa.

The seventh monthly lucky draw will be held at Milimewah, Berakas on the 13th April 2008. As for the final, the Grand Draw will be held on the 18 of May 2008 at Milimewah,Seria and the lucky winners will stand the chance to win 3 cars. More promotions will also be held by the Milimewah Group to attract consumers to shop in Brunei. --

Accident damages traffic light post

March 17, 2008 - An accident involving a sedan and SUV occurred yesterday morning at a traffic light junction in front of a hotel in the capital. The accident that happened at 10am caused a major traffic jam and police personnel were quickly at the scene to tackle the situation. The SUV hit the traffic light post, which was uprooted. Both drivers, however, sustained only minor injuries. The cause of the accident is still under investigation

Flashy Prizes Await Winners In Anniversary Draw

Milimewah Group yesterday held its sixth monthly draw in conjunction with its anniversary at Utama Grand, The Mall in Gadong.
Random customers assisted in picking the entries of the February winners.
The names of 20 qualifiers were picked, allowing them a chance to enter the 'Spin and Win' event next week, which offers prizes such as an LCD TV and other flashy prizes.
